Morningwood

Morningwood CD Cover

I’ve totally gotten into this band. In short: they rock! I mean look at that album cover. Don’t you want to just buy it based on that? It’s currently only $10.98 on Amazon.com.

If you’re not convinced, check out two of their music videos.

They’re opening for some other band (The Sounds?) in Toronto, April 16th at the Opera House. Anyone from Rochester interested in a little road trip?

I googled The Sounds and they’re pretty good. You can see their video and sample their songs here.

I can’t seem to get into Morningwood for some reason. Although, with the baby due 11 days before that show, I probably shouldn’t plan on making any trips out of the country anyway. ;-)

I was just flipping through the channels here, and saw a slightly familiar-lloking band on MTV. It was the video for ‘nth degree’ - a series of shots of the band spoofing different record covers. Kinda cute. First time I heard them . . . not sure I could get into the music yet.

OK, Morningwood’s not getting a very warm reception here at magicpork.com!

For what it’s worth, “Nth Degree” is the most pop sounding song on the album, which I’m sure is why they picked it for the single. Well, that and the fact that they spell the name of the band over & over in the song. But I totally love it.

If you ever get a chance, you should listen to “Take Off Your Clothes” or “Babysitter”. I checked them out on Rhapsody.com before buying the CD. You can listen to 25 songs per month for free without having to subscribe. I like free things.

I just realized, April 16th is Easter. Hmm, that throws a wrench into my plans to see them in concert… but maybe I could still make it work! :-)

Yea, i’ve liked them from day-1

    Jetsetter’s a great song…

You’ve convinced/reminded me that I do indeed want this CD, thanks!
