Joe,

I would suggest you listen to “Everybody Hurts” by R.E.M. but that’s the most depressing anti-suicide song I’ve ever heard. The music is really sad and even though he’s saying not to kill yourself, to me it always came across more like “yeah you’re right, life really sucks, but hey it sucks for everybody on the planet so… yeah… there’s that”.

I found this site looking for info on how to handle a DVD the right way - turns out I’ve been doing it wrong this whole time. Dammit! And now these last two posts about suicide have made me rethink my existence. I think I’ll pull out my favorite grunge CDs and see what comes of the day. It’s been great knowing you.

Seriously though, my favorite suicide-themed song, I think, is Suicide is Painless (the theme from M*A*S*H).

Oh, and as a joke, Pat bought that Jewel book for me. I never read it. If you want to borrow it, you know where to find it. : )
