Proper loading of toilet paper dispenser

It should roll “over”:

Toilet Paper

NOT “under”:

Toilet Paper

Don’t ask. It’s just the proper way to do it.

Your half right. According to a few psychiatric journals, there is a common correlation between genders and how each one loads toilet paper. They have found that most female’s (97.3 %) will use the over approach. Most males (99.9%) will use the under approach.

That would be funny if it weren’t so very wrong. Don’t mock the science of toilet paper loading. It’s not a male/female thing. It’s a right/wrong thing. And btw, that copy of “Psychology Today” in your shrink’s waiting room isn’t a “psychiatric journal”.

I agree with Phats. Over the top is the way to go.

    Hey Kevin,
    I’m afraid I must disagree.

I think everyone is missing the most obvious reason that “over the top” is the right way for it to go.

    It’s faster, plain and simple.

The end is right there waiting to be grabbed and the correct amount dispensed, making quick business of your business.

With the under method you have to reach down and fish around to find the end, things I don’t have time for.

Psychological fact or not, I’m constantly removing the roll and re-placing it after hubby puts it in … cos he does “under” and I insist on “over”. It looks better and is just easier to handle. Hey, sometimes I even fold the last block into a little arrow, like they do in hotels :-)
Anyone want ot debate “folding” vs “scrunching” …

  7. ScruncherAllTheWay Says:

OMG why would anyone want to fold versus scrunch? I can only imagine that the fold… oh god I can barely say it… would allow your hand to actually feel… oh god…. Let’s just say that with the scrunch, there is no danger of the fingertips actually knowing what it is going across. Puke.

I do agree with you, but I think you need to post a rebuttal to Brian’s argument. Here is some fodder for you: The toilet paper roll being squished against the wall is actually a good thing. Because, this way, you can just quickly rip off the amount of toilet paper that you need with one hand, without having to deal with the stress of too much paper reeling off the roll. Rolling over is more sanitary too, as the roll has minimal contact with the wall this way.
